Enjoy moments from the Belonging concert at Conway Hall in October, as part of the Bloomsbury Festival 2021 – a fantastic melee of music from different cultures interlaced with poetry exploring the meaning of ‘belonging’
Attab Haddad oud
Christina McMaster piano
Antonio Romero percussion
Toby Carr lute, theorbo and Baroque guitar
The concert marked the culmination of a collaborative project involving Bloomsbury based writers group 26, NW Live Arts’ musicians, writers from Holborn Community Association and Compass Scholars from Birkbeck University who are refugees and asylum seekers.
We received fantastic feedback from the audience
“Compelling, imaginative and original. Bringing light to my dark place.”
“Wonderful performers, genre-busting music. A really unique event.”
“The musicians were very talented and great performers, it was a good choice of set list and very engaging”
